SCOTT LESLIE TEETERS, SR., age 74, of Washington CH, passed from this life to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 8:05 p.m. at Fayette County Memorial Hospital. His death was sudden and unexpected.

He was born on May 1, 1946 in Greenfield, Ohio to Scott Lafe and Juanita June (Mowbray) Teeters. He was a 1964 graduate of Hillsboro High School. Scott proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Following his service years and marriage, he worked at NCR. He went into dairy farming and then into Harvestore Sales. He became a Farm Management Consultant which led into his own real estate brokage, Teeters Real Estate. After leaving real estate, he worked at ABX in Wilmington in Logistics until his retirement. After his retirement, he became an independent over-the-road expediter. Throughout his working career, he was active in various volunteer organizations including: Rotary, Kiwanis, Gideons, work and witness teams, maintenance at Indian Schools in Arizona and New Mexico and Miami Trace Panther Band Boosters.

Scott had attended The First Church of the Nazarene where he had served on the board as First Elder and taught the High School Sunday School.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend to many. He enjoyed fishing and had such an appreciation for nature and the outdoors, woodworking, crafting, and most importantly, being with his family.

Scott was preceded in death by parents; and his first wife and mother of his children, Patricia Lynn “Pat” Teeters.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Ann (Frederick) Teeters, whom he married on December 6, 2014; sons, Scott Leslie Jr. (Amy) Teeters and his children, Zachary, and Arkady; Matthew Faril Teeters; Andy Nathanial (Nevada) Teeters and their children, Aiden, Owen, and Emery; and Aaron Paul Teeters.

Scott had become a father to Jane Ann’s children, Grant C. (Lindy) Hammond and their children, Anna, Katelyn, Joshua, Abrielle, Daniella, Grant, Noah, James, Ethan, and Liam; Joy A. (Jordan) Allen and their children, Micaiah, Aletheia, and Corban; Jenay M. (Michael) O’Shaughnessy and their child, Fitzmichael; Jonathan R. Hammond and his fiancé, Liz Fenerty and his children, Talen, and Zoey; and Jennifer E. Hammond.

Those in attendance are requested to wear a mask or other facial covering and asked to adhere to social-distancing guidelines.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at The First Church of the Nazarene, 990 St Rt 41 SW, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Pastor Dan Justice officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the church on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
