Sharon Lynn Palmer

SHARON LYNN PALMER, age 71 of Washington Court House, passed away at 8:00 p.m. on October 7, 2021 at her home. She was born on November 5, 1949 in Clinton County to the late William Bennington and Norma and Millard Howard. Only June 24, 1967 she married Ronald Eugene Palmer who survives.

Sharon was a 1967 graduate of Miami Trace High School and had retired from Airborne and DHL in Wilmington. She enjoyed playing softball, Elvis and playing Bingo with her friends.

In addition to her husband Ronald, other survivors include his daughters; Crystal Palmer of New Vienna, Ginger Palmer and Courtney (Eric) Ellis all of Washington Court House, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother; Tom (Rose) Bennington of Bloomingburg. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, one sister; Helen Bennington and three brothers; Bob, Jim and Bill Bennington.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in the Summers Funeral Home with Mel Wickensimer officiating. In keeping with Sharon’s wishes cremation will take place following the service. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday until the time of the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Summers Funeral Home. There will be a gathering for family and friends after the service at the little school house at the entrance of the Fayette County fairgrounds.
