Sheryl "Sherry" Brown

SHERYL “SHERRY” BROWN, age 63, of Washington Court House, passed away at 4:52 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2025, at her home. Born on March 11, 1961, in Fayette County, she is the daughter of Barth and Margaret Knisley Elzey. On July 3, 1991, she married her husband, Harrison Brown, who preceded her in death in 2014.

Sherry was a 1980 graduate of Washington Senior High School. She had worked in laundry and housekeeping at Case Convalescence as well as in the kitchen at Fayette County Memorial Hospital. Sherry enjoyed playing scratch off games and spending time with her dogs, Scarlett and GiGi.

Survivors includer her mother, Margaret; her siblings, Barth (Carmal) Elzey, Gregg (Michelle) Elzey and Randy (Kathy) Elzey; her stepson, Teddy Brown; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Will) Staudt, Conor Brown and one great-grandson, Rufus. Also surviving is one niece and several nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

In addition to her husband, Harrison, Sherry was preceded in death her father in 2016 and her beloved dog, GiGi.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025, in the Summers Funeral Home with Chaplain Dee Harris from Heartland Hospice officiating, burial to follow in the Sabina Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on the day of the service at the funeral home.
