Steven Keith Mongold

STEVEN KEITH MONGOLD, age 65, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born on October 9, 1957 in Fayette County to the late James Edward and Jean Russell Mongold. On May 5, 1995, he married the former Lucinda "Cindy" Wilson, who survives. 

Steven was a graduate of Miami Trace High School and was a retired from R&L Carriers, where he had worked as a Trailer Shop Mechanic. He enjoyed working on old cars in his garage, taking long car rides with his wife Cindy and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. 

In addition to his wife Cindy, survivors include his children, Steven McCullah of Loveland and Shanna (Rick) Cheney of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Keith Lawson, Zylar McCullah, Jayden Mongold, Kade McCullah and Chandler Cheney. Also surviving are his sisters, Becky (Chuck) Varney, Mary (Kevin) Leisure and Jackie (Wayne) Smith along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, Steven is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Mongold. 

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Drew Langford officiating with burial to follow at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
