Theresa G. "Teri" Hughes

THERESA G. “TERI” HUGHES, age 62, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after a courageous and lengthy battle with Ovarian Cancer.

She was born on July 24, 1963 in California to Harold and Dorothy (Hummel) White. She graduated from high school in Nashville, Tennessee and later received her Master’s Degree in Education and Counseling from Lindsey Wilson University. Teri proudly served her county in the United States Navy for almost thirteen years, she was an RM1 (SW). She retired from the VA in Chillicothe where she worked as a pier support specialist for many years. She enjoyed helping Veterans, rescuing dogs with her husband, working on cars, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Teri is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy White, and her son, Christopher Bradshaw.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband and caretaker, Charles E. Hughes, whom she married on January 31, 1995; son, Marion Bradshaw; her father, Harold White; and her beloved canine companion, Rosie. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, along with a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Bobby Seymour officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow.
