THOMAS ROBERT RISBECK, age 73, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 in Westerville, Ohio, joining other heroes of the faith. Tom graduated with his Master's degree from the University of Cincinnati and worked as a metallurgical engineer, finishing his lengthy career at the Timken Company in Canton, Ohio. He traveled to many places in the world for his job, but always preferred being in Ohio with his family and friends.
Tom is survived by his devoted and loving wife Vicki, his son Benjamin Risbeck of Maryland, brother Jim Risbeck (Carole) of Cincinnati, sister Karen Elsner (Dick) of Salem, Ohio, son-in-law Jason Binegar of Washington CH, stepdaughter Sara Peterson (Todd) of Westerville, stepson Marty Beever (Melissa) of Canal Winchester, grandchildren Braden and Hannah Binegar, Isabella and Evangeline Risbeck, Emma and Maggie Peterson, Brynn Forsythe, and Camrynn Beever, along with many other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-six years, Denise, and his adoring daughter, Cheryl Elaine Binegar.
Tom was an extraordinary husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, uncle, worker, friend, and devout follower of Jesus Christ. This world will greatly miss him, but Heaven surely rejoices.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home, 223 W. Market St., Washington CH, OH 43160, with Pastor Tim Bancroft officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
