Tillie Rosemary Chamberlain

TILLIE ROSEMARY CHAMBERLAIN, age 84, of Bloomingburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2026 at St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington CH.

She was born on December 25, 1941 in Circleville, Ohio to the late Andrew B. and Mahala Margaret (Peters) Smith. She was a housewife and stay-at-home mother for most of her life. Tillie and her husband, Freddie, attended the State Route 38 Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and collecting lighthouses.

In addition to her parents, Tillie was preceded in death by her siblings, Willard (Juanita) Smith, Marie (Charles) Pollock, and Bonnie (Ronnie) Giffin.

Survivors include her husband, Freddie Eugene Chamberlain; children, Adam William (Vernice) Cottrell, Connie Ruth Smith, Jamie (Bernita) Cottrell, Eric (Brenda) Cottrell, and David Chamberlain; and grandchildren, Crystal Myers, Adam Cottrell, Tabitha Waits, Michael Waits, Brock Williamson, Nathan Cottrell, Janita (Luke) Holden, Shawn Cottrell, Torie (Chris) Mann, Lorie Woodward, Eric (Amy) Cottrell, Shannon (Mark) Smith, and Ashley Mills along with numerous great-grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
