Timothy "Timmy" Upthegrove

TIMOTHY “TIMMY” UPTHEGROVE, age 66, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2025 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

He was born on June 2, 1959 in Fayette County to the late Kenneth Eugene Upthegrove, Jr. and Virginia Lee (Wilson) Benson. He attended Washington High School. Timmy worked as a concrete finisher for most of his life. He loved basketball and enjoyed attending local basketball games, watching sports, and he was an avid Georgetown University Hoyas men’s basketball fan.

Survivors include his daughter, Tiffany Whitman; grandchildren, Courvoisier Massey, and Maya Whitman; siblings, Ken (Melissa) Upthegrove, Sheila (Michael) Loney, Jody Benson, and Lori (Dennis) Stepter; nephews, Kenny, Evan, and Nathan Upthegrove, and Kory Proby; his ex-wife and best friend, Jerri (Pebbles) Upthegrove; lifelong friend, Mark Taylor; friend, Kevin Terry; and his forever faithful Labrador Retriever, Bingo.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Church, 1867 Old US 35 NW, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Pastor Randy Lee officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
