Vernon Earl Hawkins

VERNON EARL HAWKINS, age 75, of Washington Court House, passed away at 12:36 p.m. on July 21, 2025, at his home. Born on October 17, 1949, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Albert and Martha Hawkins.

Vernon bravely served in The United States Army. After his return, he worked as an Over the Road Truck Driver for Bumpus Trucking in Washington C.H. until his retirement. In the past, he enjoyed woodworking and riding his Harley Davidson.

Vernon is survived by his son, Owen (Jackie), his daughter, Marie, his stepsons, Jason and Joe Carner, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Also surviving are his sister, Betty (Darryl) Nooks and his brother, Robert (Maria) Hawkins.

In keeping with Vernon’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in the Unity Fellowship Church, 4450 Prairie Road, Washington C.H., OH, 43160.
