VIRGINIA LEE YOHO, age 87, of Somerset, formerly of Washington CH, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Fairfield Medical Center while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 15, 1935 in Fayette County to the late Charles and Jeane (Cummings) Mann. She was a 1953 graduate of Wayne High School and was Valedictorian of her class and was also was a cheerleader. After high school, she graduated from Capital Beauty School and perused her career in cosmetology with her mother, Jeane. They owned and operated their own salon. Virginia retired from Kmart in Washington CH after being employed for more than twenty years. Virginia loved Jesus and she told everyone about His goodness, love, and mercy. She enjoyed reading the Bible, listening to Christian music, and spending time with her beloved family.
She will always be remembered for her dedication to serve and take care of others and also for her kind, compassionate, and selfless heart.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by the love of her life, Loren B. Yoho, Jr., whom she married on September 4, 1964.
Survivors include her children, Jerri McKinney, Mark (Teresa) Yoho, and Dan (Cheryle) White; grandchildren, Lyndsey Abbott, Jerad Vansteenis, Matthew McKinney, Zach White, Christina George, Travis Yoho, Nathan Yoho, Joshua Yoho, Alayna Yoho; and great-granddaughter, Lauryn Abbott.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Crawford officiating with burial to follow at the Bush Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
