WAYNE LEROY RAYBURN, age 83, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born on November 3, 1940, in Fayette County to the late H. Wayne and Anna (Kelley) Rayburn. He attended Good Hope High School. Wayne retired after twenty-five plus years as the service director of Jeffersonville. He was a longtime member of the Jeffersonville Masonic Lodge 468. He enjoyed eating out, fixing things around his house, watching old western movies, and was an avid Ohio State football fan.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Carter; great-grandson, Dylan Kimbler; sisters, Jeanie Adams, and Alice Puckett; sister-in-law, Rosemary Rayburn; and brother-in-law, Dave Perry.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Donna Jean (Smith) Rayburn, whom he married on October 9, 1960; children, Robin (Jeff) Kimbler, Michael Rayburn, Chad (Angela) Rayburn, and son-in-law, Jay Carter; grandchildren, Tyler (Michelle) Kimbler, Andrew (Brittany) Kimbler, Brenden and Bradley Rayburn, Jade (Harry) Atkinson, Taryl (Nathan) Pressler, Shawn (Shelly) Carter, Shane (Cassie) Carter, and Alexia Vlahos; great-grandchildren, Leila, Jonathan, Presley, and Miles Kimbler, Aliyvia, Avareigh, Adisynne, and Carter Atkinson, Devon, Kaleb, and Brayden Carter, and Carmeron, Courtney, Sydney, and Allison Carter; and siblings, Gary Rayburn, Hughey (Mary) Rayburn, Marsha Perry, Barb (Marvin) Bick, and Priscilla (Joe) Adams. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Jeffersonville Church of Christ, 83 N. Main St., Jeffersonville, Ohio 43128, with burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Family and friends may visit at the Church on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
