Wendy Ann Cox

WENDY ANN COX, age 53, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at her home.

She was born on May 18, 1971 in Washington CH to the late Bill and Sally (Carsten) Malone. She was a 1990 graduate of Washington High School. Wendy worked at Carlton Manor and Signature Healthcare as a nursing assistant. She attended South Side Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing on her tablet and Gameboy, and she loved watching Scooby-Doo.

In addition to her parents, Wendy was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Dale Lyons, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Cox, whom she married on June 25, 1999; her daughter, Shana Lyons; granddaughter, Lily Carmen; and brother, Pat Malone of Wilmington. Also surviving are several cousins and a host of friends.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
